The role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated senior town planner to join our professional development assessment team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the assessment of complex development applications and the provision of specialist town planning and development control advice to team members, the public and applicants in relation to the assessment process. This role will also be responsible for conducting pre-development application meetings, site meetings and responding to general public enquiries. As a senior you will provide coaching and technical guidance to other members in the team.  

 

The person

This role will suit a planner with a can-do attitude and the ability to convey complex information in a simple way through strong written and verbal communication. This role demands an individual with a sharp attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to empathise with the customer's perspective. The ideal applicant will thrive on taking on new challenges relating to a broad range of planning issues typical of a busy inner-city area, whilst being able to think critically and juggle multiple tasks at once.

Salary range from $104,210 to $124,436 per annum + 11.5% superannuation + $1,000 pa Transport allowance  

35 hours per week with access to flexi time
