North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney’s picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands and a bustling CBD.

The role 

The purpose of this position is to collect and manage asset information so that assets can be managed in an efficient and effective manner. This position will manage the engagement of consultants and contractors to undertake the collection of asset inventory and condition data. Data in various formats is then to be merged into Council’s Corporate Asset Management Systems (Databases and GIS). The position will develop database queries to validate the data, ensure its integrity, and check that data matches between various systems. This position will assist in ensuring that Councils asset inventory is up to date, including updating renewed or new assets from Council’s Works Programs (using As Built Drawings) or assets built by Developers. This process includes the calculation and review of unit rate costs of completed works.

This position will assist in the preparation of Council’s future Capital Works Programs including risk assessment and prioritisation. The position will manipulate data to produce maps and Tables for reports as well as assist in the review of Council’s Asset Management Plans.

Salary Range: $95,365.75 to $113,875.34 per annum + 3.5% Civil Liability allowance (qualification dependent) + $1,000 pa Transport allowance + 11.5% superannuation
