The role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Procurement and Contract Manager to lead and manage the delivery of strategic procurement and contract management services. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and can drive operational excellence across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Offer expert strategic advice on procurement, sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management to achieve value driven outcomes.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of contracts from initiation to execution, ensuring value for money, risk management, and compliance.
- Monitor, review, and report on procurement and contract performance, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Write, review, and promote procurement and contract related procedures and guidelines, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Council's commitment to sustainability and community objectives.
- Support the development and implementation of strategic procurement plans to meet the needs of the Council and its stakeholders.
- Lead, develop, and manage a customer-focused procurement team, ensuring high-quality services are delivered across the organisation.

Salary up to $140,056 per annum + 11.5% superannuation + $1,000 pa Transport allowance
(Market allowance may be negotiated based upon skills, experience and achievement)
35 hours per week with access to flexi time
