North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney’s picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands and a bustling CBD.
The role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to manage the planning, coordination, and delivery of major events, including the highly anticipated New Year's Eve celebration in North Sydney. This role involves overseeing the entire event lifecycle—from initial planning and stakeholder engagement to post-event evaluation—ensuring seamless execution within approved budgets and timelines.
This role involves conducting detailed risk assessments, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, securing necessary permits, developing contingency plans, whilst managing logistics includes overseeing site layout, crowd management, accessibility, procurement and environmental impact.
You will coordinate the setup and operations of production, liaising with necessary stakeholders and suppliers, and developing and maintaining event safety documents, plans, schedules, maps and manuals.
Partnering with Council’s communications team, you'll amplify event reach through strategic engagement and communications efforts.
The person
You are a dynamic and results-driven event coordination professional with a proven track record of orchestrating large-scale public events. Your expertise spans the full spectrum of event logistics, from meticulous planning to seamless execution, ensuring every detail aligns with strategic objectives.
We are looking for someone with outstanding stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships, engaging diverse groups, and fostering collaboration across various sectors.

Salary from: $107,336 to $128,169 per annum + 11.5% superannuation + $1,000 pa transport allowance
