We are in search of a qualified and enthusiastic Tree Worker to become part of our Tree Management Team.
North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney’s picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands, and a bustling CBD. The role
The Tree Worker is responsible for performing routine and reactive tree maintenance tasks in accordance with industry best practices and safety standards. This includes assessing and maintaining the health of street and park trees, implementing pest, disease, and weed control measures, and assisting with traffic and pedestrian management at work sites. The role involves operating and maintaining Council-owned plant and equipment, such as Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs), ensuring their safe and effective use. Additionally, the Tree Worker maintains accurate records, adheres to Work Health & Safety regulations, and follows instructions from Team Leaders and Supervisors to support the efficient delivery of tree maintenance programs within the North Sydney area.
This permanent position will be based at the St Leonards Park Depot in North Sydney, close to public transport and recreational facilities.
The ideal candidate will have qualifications and experience in arboriculture/horticulture and not be afraid to roll up their sleeves to get stuck in to hard work!

Salary from: $60,547 to $71,947 per annum (including industry allowance) + 11.5% superannuation + $1,000 pa transport allowance + Uniform Provided
76 hours per fortnight with a rostered day off
