The Role
We’re looking for a detail-focused and people-friendly Learning and Development Officer to join our People and Culture team. In this role, you’ll coordinate onboarding, induction, and compliance training for new employees, making sure every new starter has the information, tools, and support they need to settle in successfully.
You’ll work closely with hiring managers to confirm induction plans and probation timelines, track onboarding checklists, and follow up on training completions. You’ll be the main contact for new employees during their first weeks and help promote a consistent, welcoming experience across Council.
You’ll also be responsible for administering the Learning Management System (LMS), enrolling staff in mandatory training, monitoring completions, and supporting internal reporting and audits. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance and ensuring our learning records are accurate and up to date.

Salary Range: $79,561 to $95,000 per annum + $1,000 pa Transport allowance + 12% superannuation
35 hours per week with access to flexi time
