We're looking for an Asset Management Coordinator to lead strategic and day-to-day asset management activities across Council. Your work will directly support the services we deliver and contribute to making long-term, sustainable decisions for the North Sydney community.
North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney’s picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands and a bustling CBD.
The role
Reporting to the Service Unit Manager Capital Projects and Asset Management, the Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of Council’s Asset Management Plans to inform the recurrent maintenance, upgrade and renewal of Council’s assets and infrastructure. You'll work closely with a wide range of teams across Council, as well as external stakeholders, to develop asset priorities that feed into our capital works program. A big part of your role will be making sure our approach to asset management aligns with Council’s Key Informing Strategies, Resourcing Strategy, and the Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) framework.
How you'll make a difference
The Asset Management Coordinator will draw on their technical expertise and experience to lead the collection and analysis of data, supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of Council’s asset management plans and provide expert advice for the development of Council’s capital delivery programs. This position is all about making sure we apply best-practice asset lifecycle planning and performance monitoring. You’ll help keep our systems and data accurate, so we can make informed decisions about where and how we invest in our assets – now and into the future.

An experienced Asset Management professional, with the ability to plan and manage assets strategically along with strong data analysis capabilities to inform capital investment and critical decision making.

Salary from $110,556 to $132,014 per annum + 3.5% Civil Liability allowance + $1,000 pa Transport allowance + 12% superannuation
35 hours per week with access to flexi time
