Expressions of Interest: North Sydney Fee for Service – Consultant List for Development Assessment Support

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified consultants to be included in our internal consultant list to support Council’s development assessment functions.

This list will assist staff in identifying and engaging experienced professionals to provide independent advice, peer reviews, and technical assessments in circumstances where:

  • There is an actual or perceived conflict of interest;
  • Internal resourcing or expertise is unavailable;
  • Independent expert input is required to assess technical reports submitted with Development Applications (DAs); or
  • Specialist assistance is needed in Land and Environment Court (LEC) matters, including the preparation of expert evidence.

 

Consultants with expertise in the following fields are encouraged to apply:

  • Town Planning / Urban Design
  • Heritage Conservation / Architecture
  • Landscape Architecture
  • Civil Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Traffic and Transport Engineering
  • Acoustic Engineering
  • Environmental Science
  • Building Surveying including performance-based assessment
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Other specialist disciplines relevant to planning and development assessment

 

About the Internal Consultant List
This is not a public or standing panel, nor does inclusion guarantee engagement. The purpose of the list is to maintain a pool of trusted professionals that Council staff may contact directly for quotations and engagement as required. Services will be engaged on a fee-for-service basis in accordance with Council procurement procedures.

Submissions: To apply, submit an expressions of interest outlining your skills and experience via the application process below. 

Please provide:

  • A current CV or company profile
  • Areas of expertise and qualifications
  • Relevant project or DA assessment experience (brief examples or case studies)
  • Availability and location
  • Standard fee schedule (hourly/day rates, including GST)
  • Contact details for two professional referees
