As a pivotal part of the Corporate Services Division, plays a crucial role in maintaining public safety and compliance, while also enhancing community satisfaction through effective service delivery.

 

The role 

Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, as the Service Unit Manager Library & Customer Service, you’ll provide strategic leadership across Council’s Library and Customer Service functions, ensuring services are customer-focused, accessible, responsive and aligned with the needs of our community.

You’ll lead service planning, performance, resource and risk management, while identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience and strengthen service delivery across both departments.

Working closely with your team and key stakeholders across Council and the broader community, you’ll provide strategic advice and help shape the future direction of these important community-facing services. 

 

The person

We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative leader who brings strong customer service, people leadership and strategic management skills.

You’ll be confident managing resources, risk and competing priorities, with the ability to use data, community insights and emerging trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

A strong communicator and relationship builder, you’ll engage effectively with staff, stakeholders and the community, while remaining adaptable and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires a Police Clearance and is a requirement of the recruitment process. 

It is an essential requirement of this role that a Working with Children Check (WWCC) is conducted. It is an offence under NSW legislation for barred workers to apply for or otherwise attempt to obtain, undertake or remain in child-related employment.

 

TRP Range: $175,000 to $215,000 per annum (inclusive of 12% superannuation and Annualised allowance)

35 hours per week
