Pet Doctors St Lukes has an opportunity for a full-time Veterinarian to join our team!

Our clinic is a small animal clinic that also practices exotics medicine. This position is for a Companion Animal Veterinarian who is keen to work in our purpose-built clinic in Auckland. Exotics experience is not required. This is full-time, permanent position. The clinic is open 7 days and there will be some rostered weekend work. There will be no after-hours services required.

We cater to all companion pet species, including cats, dogs, and everything in-between! We are both a companion animal and exotics practice, and our team is dedicated to providing a high standard of care. Between our 4 vets, 7 nurses, 4 animal care attendants and two dedicated client relations officers, we are able to cater for the specialised medical and surgical needs of birds including backyard chickens, lizards, turtles & tortoises, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, mice, and cats and dogs. Our purpose built clinic and dedicated team also offer boarding facilities for the exotic pets and a cattery. We are located in an area with plenty of parking and near a variety of shops (as well as the St Lukes mall). We are open 7 days, as we are one of the few clinics in Auckland with special facilities to care for a variety of species.

A bit about you:

  • You are a qualified Veterinarian with a commitment to provide exceptional patient care
  • You are able to work a 40-hour week, with intermittent weekend work, and are passionate about providing the highest standard of care to our patients.
  • You have the ability to oversee your caseload and work autonomously yet understand the importance of collaboration and teamwork when it comes to patient care.

This position offers a negotiable base salary range of $50,000 - $90,000 (pro rata for part-time), dependant on the suitable applicant’s skills and experience. Whilst NVC seeks to source applicants who meet the above criteria and skill set, alternative applicant’s may still be considered. In these cases, the base salary is subject to change to suit.
