- As agreed, travel to other Wintringham sites including regional offices in Ballarat, Geelong Tasmania and Hume (VIC)
Your new role
Wintringham is seeking a dynamic and proactive Support Services Coordinator, to join our multi-disciplinary community team on a Full-Time basis. This dynamic Fixed Term position will run for 6 months, providing support and supervision for a team of Care and Support Workers (CSW) who will work to ensure both Home Support and NDIS clients receive the direct support and care needed. This role will work closely with the Wintringham Rostering Team and also liaise with a team of Case Managers/NDIS Support Coordinators to best support the care and services delivered to our clients.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Recruit, train, and supervise support workers that will provide home and community services for HCP and NDIS clients. Monitor with Manager staff recruitment needs and staffing resources requirements including gaps.
- Ensure all staff possess the necessary skills, attitude and qualifications to provide high-quality support and care to clients.
- Ensure staff can access high quality supervision and work with them to achieve their career goals through further study and opportunities.
- Undertake induction of new CSW’s accordingly and ensure induction, training and buddy shifts are arranged to be completed. Ensure staff are ready and competent to perform the role independently.
- Work collaboratively with the Wintringham Rostering team to ensure staff are assigned to clients based on individual needs, preferences, and care plans, and coordinate the provision of services to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes for clients.
- Ensure our staff are paid correctly, and requirements of the EBA around leave, breaks and entitlements are met. Ability to use payglobal software.
- Demonstrate and model leadership that is collaborative, accountable and client focused.
- Follow quality assurance processes to monitor and evaluate the performance of staff and the effectiveness of service delivery, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Provide timely and comprehensive responses to feedback and complaints in collaboration with the Manager.
- Ensure effective and efficient data entry of all feedback, hazards and incidents.
We are looking for candidates with the following:
- Current employment within the Home Support Program
- A current driver’s licence and own car for travel to sites as required.
- Previous experience in case management and/or providing care and support is highly desirable
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the homelessness, health care, aged care, or disability support sector with a focus on service delivery and staff management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines governing aged and disability services.
- Commitment to Wintringham and its philosophy of social justice.
