Your new role
Wintringham is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic professional to join our Support Services unit; within our rostering team on a Full Time Fixed term basis for 6 months. This fast-paced and dynamic role based at our North Western Office operates between 7am and 6pm and will be responsible for the oversight of all operational functions across the team including the direct supervision of the Rostering Coordinators to ensure oversight and management of a team of Rostering staff.
No two days are the same in our rostering team, so ideally, you will demonstrate leadership in your approach and be able to manage, prioritise and appropriately escalate client complaints and feedback. A willingness and eagerness to work in a dynamic environment are required for this role.
Previous experience in leading a team of rostering staff to achieve excellent outcomes for clients is essential. This is an excellent opportunity if you have knowledge and experience of program systems, support service planning, rostering processes, allocations, and scheduling experience.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Management of all Riskware – ensuring a response is completed regarding to all client complaints and feedback in a timely manner in accordance with policy.
- Ensure all serious rostering related incidents and complaints are investigated, reporting back to the Support Services Manager and relevant Manager – Home Support.
- To ensure open disclosure occurs when managing client incidents and complaints.
- Ensure orientation, induction and training occurs for all new staff within required time frames as per policy. This includes monthly probation performance meetings for new staff.
- To ensure that all Wintringham Care and Support workers receive a completed published roster in accordance with EBA requirements.
- Ensure the scheduling of services is undertaken with a client-centered approach, working towards client’s choice and preferences where possible.
- Ensure that staff are rostered in accordance with Wintringham’s EBA.
- In conjunction with the Support Services Manager, ensure that the rostering team is providing appropriate coverage to manage the responsibilities of their roles. This includes preparation and publishing of the weekly roster to all rostering staff.
- Respond effectively to e-mail and telephone correspondence in agreed business hours (Monday to Friday).
What we will require from you:
- Diploma or above qualification in a relevant field.
- Experience in Health, Disability, Community Services, Aged Care sector or Homeless sectors.
- Sound understanding of Aged Care standards and relevant frameworks.
- Experience in leading a team of rostering staff to achieve excellent outcomes for clients.
- Experience in staff supervision, training and development.
- Experience in managing staff performance.
- Knowledge and experience of program systems, support service planning, rostering processes, allocations and scheduling experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and conflict management experience.
- Ability to work at a high level of autonomy, prioritising work within established policies, guidelines and procedures.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in a service delivery environment.
