About the role
Now is the time to get onboard! We are currently looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Fleet team based at Noble Park.
This is not a traditional role with the expected diesel engine work. This role is responsible for the commissioning of new vehicles into our fleet, and minor repair and maintenance work on our current fleet. NWG is a leader in emerging technologies so a great opportunity to learn new innovation in alternative fuels and engines for the future.

Additionally, the role involves:

•           Preparing and commissioning new fleet for distribution nationally.

•           Ensuring all third-party repairs meet Nationwide requirements and standards

•           Performing fleet repairs and workshop tasks

•           Reviewing suppliers and parts to ensure quality and costs meet Nationwide standards

•           Ordering parts nationally as required in a timely manner in accordance with Nationwide policies/procedures to ensure service dates are met

•           Conducting regular fleet audits nationally to ensure all fleet meets Nationwide’s standards and requirements and ensuring any items not meeting standards are repaired and rectified

•           Conducting Annual Vehicle Inspection & Audits nationally as required

 

Skills & experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:

•           Diesel Mechanic qualification 

•           HR truck license

•           Proven diagnostic skills and experience

•           Strong auto electrical experience and skills (auto electrician qualification desirable but not mandatory)

•           Good written, verbal and computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)
