About the Role:

As an Automotive Installer you will be working part of the Fleet team, you will be responsible for the Installation, configuration and testing of the lasted new technologies on our Tow trucks and Patrol fleet.

The role will involve the following activities:

  • Installation of iCCTV, GPS tracking, telematics, data communication and driver safety technology systems
  • Testing of all installed technologies to ensure proper functionality and effectiveness.
  • Resolve and document any technical issues, before, during or after completion of installation.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and testing procedures.
  • Provide training and support to our tow truck and patrol operators on the proper use and maintenance of installed safety systems.
  • Address any questions or concerns regarding system operation.
  • Ensure all installations adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in driver safety technology and incorporate best practices into installation procedures.
  • Address any questions or concerns raised by our tow truck and patrol operators.
  • Maintain the workshop and surrounds in line with HSE workshop industry standards.
  • Investigate and resolve damages and complaints as required.
  • Participate in the HSE consultation process, actively ensure safe practices are adhered to, and attend all required HSE training courses and meetings.

About You:

  • Automotive accessories installation experience
  • Experience in installing electrical and new technology systems in heavy vehicles (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of Wiring circuits
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical malfunctions.
  • Knowledge of Electronic component operation
  • Understanding of Fleet Services
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
