The Role:
Are you passionate about ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in warehouse operations? Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in managing inventory and logistics processes? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Inventory & Logistics Supervisor at our Glenfield Bakery.
As the Inventory & Logistics Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing inventory processes, ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time at our Glenfield site, while maintaining compliance with ARYZTA standards, best practices, and procedures.
Main Responsibilities include:
• Ensure timely availability of all Raw Materials and Packaging necessary for the seamless operation of the bakery.
• Collaborate closely with local Supply Chain & Operations stakeholders to assess Raw Material and Packaging requirements, providing valuable input on warehousing storage needs to ensure efficient inventory management.
• Conduct thorough inspections of Raw materials and Packaging, evaluating quality, quantity against purchase orders, Best-Before Dates, and packaging integrity.
• Uphold strict compliance with the inwards goods receipt process for all materials received.
• Maintain storage and layout adherence to Quality, GMP, critical ingredient, allergen systems, and food safety standards.
• Implement FIFO and/or FEFO management strategies in warehouses to minimize wastage.
• Coordinate the timely and complete delivery of all Raw Materials and Packaging to Production.
• Ensure team engagement in maintaining the integrity of finished goods dispatch, adhering to FEFO principles, and organizing container/reefer dispatch for both local and export customers.

The successful candidate will be a do-er, results-driven, highly organized, detail-oriented and prepared to be hands on when required.

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems to optimize inventory control and logistics operations
• Experience in MRP, preferable with Microsoft Dynamics.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication skills – ability to summarise complexity.
• Excellent change and people management skills.
• Strong Teamwork skills.
• Time and project management – able to prioritise and multitask.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the role.
