Be the link that changes lives! As a Service Navigator, you'll play a vital role in connecting individuals with psychosocial disabilities, their families, carers, and those at risk of homelessness with essential support services across South West Sydney.
You'll be the bridge between people in need and the resources that empower their mental health recovery. This role calls for a proactive, collaborative approach—working alongside GPs, service providers, and stakeholders to improve lives through advocacy and seamless service connections.

Your skills and experience
- Capability for autonomous and collaborative work, under the guidance of leadership roles like Operations Lead and Recovery 2gether Coach.
- Commitment to person-centred practices, emphasizing individual choice and control.
- Qualifications in mental health, health, welfare, or related fields, or equivalent experience demonstrated through a combination of education, work history, and professional development.
- A minimum of three years of experience in the mental health sector, showcasing a thorough grasp of recovery-oriented principles.
- Excellent communication abilities, including negotiation and liaison, to effectively interact with a wide range of individuals and organizations.
- Proficiency in organizing work, prioritizing tasks, and managing deadlines, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- The capacity to navigate and address complex challenges across consumer care, service delivery, and broader system levels.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships across diverse sectors.
- Strong technological skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite, database systems, and a readiness to adapt to new technological tools.
- Experience and skill in applying culturally safe practices, with an understanding of the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse groups, and the LGBTQI community.
Additional Details
One Door Mental Health requires all staff to have a Police Check clearance, a current Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance and appropriate COVID-19 Vaccination.
