About the Program
You’ll be joining the Primary Integrated Care Supports (PICS) Program, an innovative, person-centred service delivered by One Door Mental Health in partnership with the Central Eastern Sydney PHN. Since 2017, PICS has supported people living with severe mental illness to stay well in the community through tailored, trauma-informed clinical care and strong connections to health and social supports. About the Role
As a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse in our Belmore-based PICS team, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering holistic, recovery-oriented support to people experiencing severe mental illness.
You’ll build strong therapeutic relationships, coordinate care across mental and physical health needs, and collaborate with GPs, peer workers, and community providers to ensure individuals receive the right support at the right time.
You'll have the autonomy to manage your own practice, while being part of a values-driven, multidisciplinary team committed to empowering people to live well in the community.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Enjoys collaborating with others but is equally comfortable working independently.
- Credentialed (or working towards credentialing) as a Mental Health Nurse.
- Leads with integrity, respect, and accountability in every interaction.
- Organised, tech-savvy, and committed to trauma-informed, culturally safe care.
Your skills and experience

- Credentialed with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (or evidence of working towards being credentialed within 12 months)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a mental health nurse within a community setting
- Willing to complete Cultural Competency training & Trauma Informed Care in Practice training, if not done in last two years
- Experience working with GPs and community-based psychiatrists
- Ability to work in a team environment yet in a very autonomous role
- Ability to self-manage a practice
- Ability to work with and support peer workers
- Flexibility and creativity in supporting individuals
- Ability to use internet based CMS program effectively
