About the Role:

Port Alma is seeking a dedicated and experienced Terminal Supervisor to join our dynamic team. Port Alma is a pivotal deep-sea port for the region, engaging with various stakeholders including stevedoring firms, shipping agents, and government organisations.

 

As the Alma Operations Terminal Supervisor, you will assist the Port Manager in the overall management of the terminal, ensuring all operational activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations. You will play a key role in fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you will also be accountable for:

 

• Ensure compliance with Maritime Security, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

• Lead and participate in safe working processes and procedures.

• Oversee the efficient and cost-effective delivery of material handling outputs.

• Manage day-to-day maintenance and operations of port and cargo handling facilities.

• Ensure adherence to regulations, standards, and port notices related to hazardous cargo handling.

• Assist in financial resource management and analysis.

• Model and promote GPC values and Code of Conduct.

 

About You

We are looking for a procative and enthusiastic person with the follow attributes:

 

• Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or ability to obtain.

• Drivers Licence for a motor vehicle (Qld Class C).

• First Strike Response Training (Combat Pollution of the Sea by Oil).

• First Aid Certification.

• Coxswain’s Certificate.

• QLD High Risk Forklift Certificate.
