About the Role
The Port of Bundaberg (POB) team is seeking applications from suitably experienced candidates for the Permanent position of Port Operations Lead Band 4.
Reporting to the Bulk Handling Manager and working in a dedicated team, you will be accountable for the daily supervision of the maintenance of the GPC Bundaberg assets and Port of Bundaberg marine operations and, in cooperation with others, the first strike oil response for the Port of Maryborough.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identification and coordination of maintenance works for POB;
- Coordinating and supervising the work of direct reports;
- Supervise the first strike oil spill response team in conjunction with the On-Scene Coordinators during pollution clean-ups and training exercises within the Port of Bundaberg and the Port of Maryborough;
- Coordinate and supervise support craft operations as required to support shipping movements and dredging operations;
- Provide assistance to the GPC Port Security Manager and undertake a coordination role in relation to port security operations at the Port of Bundaberg.
About You
You will have highly developed knowledge and skills in maintenance management. Demonstrated previous experience in leadership with the ability to model a positive safety culture.
- Formal Qualifications – Hold or have the ability to obtain
- Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
- Level 3 Oil Spill Responder Certificate.
- Port Security Facility Officer (PSFO) certification.
