 About the Role

The Gladstone Ports Corporations Operations team is seeking applications from suitably experienced candidates for the Permanent Position of Site Logistics Coordinator.

As a member of a dedicated team under the supervision of the Container Operations Superintendent, your role entails overseeing and organizing daily on-site operations. You'll play a key part in facilitating the ongoing development and expansion of the Port Central and Northern Trade Precinct.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate access to / from Port sites for lessees, contractors and visitors with the aim of improving the operational effectiveness for non-stevedoring sections;
  • Represent GPC and be the first point of contact for all relevant stakeholders for Port Central and Northern Trade Precinct; 
  • Regularly liaise with the Operations Superintendent on service and infrastructure directions as they evolve from projects being undertaken;
  • Coordinate and supervise vessel movements (Mooring);
  • Monitor cargo operations and identify opportunities for improvement;
  • Ability to provide assistance to various GPC controlled sites may be required at times such as Port Alma and Port of Bundaberg.

About You

You will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of our facilities therefore, previous experience in a comparable role is essential. You will be a detail-oriented, safety-focused individual who can lead our efforts in maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

  • Qualification as Oil Spill Responder level 3 or able to obtain.
  • Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or ability to obtain;
  • Mandatory C Class drivers licence;
  • Forklift licence or the ability to obtain.
