About the Role

The Gladstone Ports Corporations Operations team is seeking applications from suitably experienced candidates for the Permanent Positions of Production Operators across various sites and locations.

Reporting to the Terminal Supervisor and working in a dedicated team, you will be accountable for all bulk material handling for unloading, shiploading and quarry processes within their respective skills set.

The role will include machinery operation, inspections, trouble shooting, shipping movements and general labouring work on plant and equipment to support its safe and efficient operation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake duties in accordance with the Production Operator Job Model;
  • Develop an understanding of known routines, methods and procedures which require the exercise of discretion and judgement;
  • Undertake safe work practices and promptly address any safety issues for hazard minimisation and injury prevention;
  • Complete set work schedule, prioritising against established plans and strategies.

 

About You

We are looking for experienced Operators who are keen to learn with a willingness for self-improvement and to grow professionally. You will display strong communication skills, have a positive attitude towards safety, and align with the business’s Code of Conduct behaviours and values.

You will be required to have the following nationally recognised RII Statement of Attainments and Licences;

 

  • C Class Drivers Licence
  • Excavator;
  • Dozer;
  • Skid Steer;
  • Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) – or the ability to obtain & maintain.
  • Front End Loader;
  • HR Class Driver’s Licence (desirable)
