About the Program
Gladstone Ports Corporation’s Operations department is excited to offer a Development Program designed exclusively for current Production Operators eager to take the next step into leadership.
Over a period of up to two years, you will develop the skills, knowledge, and experience required to step into Supervisor relief roles at the RG Tanna Coal Terminal (RGTCT). This opportunity focuses on cultivating leadership capabilities across both loading (Outloading) and unloading (Inloading) operations, providing a solid foundation in terminal workflow, safety, compliance, and stakeholder communication.
What You Will Do
Reporting to the Superintendents and working closely with Terminal Supervisors, you will be:
- Supporting efficient, safe, and compliant loading and unloading operations to meet GPC’s operational standards
- Responsible for monitoring workflow continuity and ensuring operational targets are met on time and to specification
- Engaging with Terminal Supervisors, customers, and stakeholders to communicate schedules, requirements, and resolve issues
- Instilling GPC values and Code of Conduct within the workgroup through leadership, coaching, and accountability
- Managing shipping movements across GPC operational sites when required
- Completing structured training targets within the first six months of the program
- Contributing to environmental, safety, and quality compliance in line with GPC’s policies
- Learning to coordinate resources, respond to operational disruptions, and implement continuous improvements
