The Opportunity

The Manager Sustainability and Reuse plays a pivotal role in advancing our commitment to sustainability by spearheading initiatives that promote environmental responsibility and resource efficiency across the organization. The successful applicant will collaborate with executives, internal teams, and external stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable practices within our retail network and reuse facilities.

The Manager Sustainability and Reuse will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sustainability strategy. With a focus on diverting over 3,000 tonnes of donations from landfills annually, this role encompasses business development, procurement, contract management, and the management of joint ventures and social enterprise initiatives.

Additionally, they will analyse sustainability-related data to identify areas for continuous improvement and oversee sustainability and impact initiatives, ensuring compliance with established standards and guidelines.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to possess in-depth knowledge of current sustainability and circular economy initiatives and the ability to apply these to support operational delivery.

You will have strong, demonstrated leadership and communication skills preferably with experience in driving complex change management processes within diverse organisations.

A Bachelor's degree qualification (desirable) and substantial experience in business operations and analysis for a multifaceted organisation. High level of proficiency in the use of technology (Microsoft suite) and along with experience in the operational use of project management software systems.

Eligibility

Applicants must have working rights in Australia and be willing to undergo a police check and obtain a Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP).
