About Parmalat

Parmalat is a global provider of world class dairy and other food products, with more than 36,000 employees in 18 countries around the world. Parmalat forms part of the family owned and operated Lactalis Group.

Parmalat Australia benefits from the multi-national scale and ambition of its parent company, without sacrificing any of the proud local heritage and traditions that began with the original Pauls milk business since 1932.

At the heart of business locally, we have over 2500 passionate employees, working closely and constructively with some 500 Australian farmers to produce the finest dairy goods in the country.

About Our Brands

Parmalat Australia houses a strong stable of Pillar brands, brands such as Pauls Milk, Ice Break Iced Coffee, Vaalia yoghurt, Harvey Fresh Juice, Oak and Breaka flavoured milk. These are leading examples of Parmalat products which over the years have become synonymous with high quality and Australian community values. Parmalat’s extensive range is only further complemented by our parent company, Lactalis’ specialty cheese brands which include Lemnos, Jindi, President & Galbani.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an energetic, entrepreneurial and highly motivated person who can capitalise on the momentum we have, and step this up to a new level.

Based at Lidcombe and reporting into the National Business Manager, key accountabilities for this role are:

1) Managing high growth, high opportunity categories such as UHT Milk and Juice. We are growing strongly in the UHT space, but our market share relatively remains low, so there is considerable upside and we want to close this gap.

2) Owning the relationship with our third party merchandising team and optimising the value that we get from these arrangements. Instore execution is crucial for our success, and a critical element of this role is setting our merchandising agency up for success with the right info at the right time.

3) Providing analytical support for the NBM and the NAMs within the WW team.

4) Managing sub-channels within Woolworth's - for example Thomas Dux and WW Metro. The small format store is a key growth area for Woolworths, and a key focus for this role is to ensure we have the right range of products being ranged in these stores.

5) Helping to administer key initiatives across the Woolworth's team – for example fridges for key periods or events, and stores rosters to make sure there is no disruption to supply.

Key attributes of the successful candidate will be:

  • Drive for results – the ability to cut through;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects – especially given the diverse nature of the range; and
  • Commercial acumen – to get the best for our spend.

To ensure your success in this role you will have solid account management experience demonstrating strong leadership, conflict resolution, and influential presentation and negotiation skills.

Financially competent, you will have a sharp understanding of our competitive environment and our unique market challenges. Your ability to build relationships and rapport with internal and external customers is paramount. Demonstrated knowledge of FMCG sales and trends, Nielsen/Aztec data analysis and SAP/BW sales will be well regarded.

You will be joining a skilled and dynamic Account team that is driven to succeed; therefore we are seeking a like-minded individual who has a demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding targets.

If you are a dedicated and motivated sales professional with a high attention to detail, excellent time management skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service, please submit your application below.

Please note: Applications close 12th February, 2017.
