About Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service

With an administrative hub based in Newman, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, the Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) provides holistic primary health care to the individuals and families within the remote communities of Jigalong, Parnngurr, Punmu and Kunawarritji. PAMS has over 700 registered clients, with most being Martu. Services offered include health education and promotion programs and initiatives, as well as the monitoring and management of ongoing health issues such as diabetes, hypertension, ante-natal & post-natal care and child health.

Position Overview

We are seeking expressions of interest for various Administration roles across multiple disciplines within our organisation, including Human Resources, Finance, Quality Assurance, Reception, and Clinic Administration. This pool recruitment process is designed to identify skilled individuals whose roles are essential to the smooth functioning of our services, supporting our healthcare professionals and ensuring streamlined, efficient administrative processes.

This recruitment pool will remain open, with applicants shortlisted based on the evolving needs of the organisation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking individuals who are organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting our community.

  • Possess well developed administrative skills, including strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good time management skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and coordinate own workload
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of business technology and desktop applications; including the use of Microsoft office packages
  • The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
