About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Remote Services Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality, culturally appropriate primary health care services across PAMS’ remote clinics.
This pivotal leadership role involves clinical oversight, operational management, staff development, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, legislation, and accreditation requirements (including AGPAL).

You will travel frequently to our remote clinic locations, fostering a strong on-the-ground presence and maintaining trusted relationships with the communities we serve.

About You

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Registered Nurse, Midwife or Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in comprehensive primary health care with strong clinical leadership.
  • Previous management experience with demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary teams across diverse geographical areas.
  • Sound understanding of Aboriginal health and cultural issues.
  • Skilled in continuous quality improvement, accreditation, Medicare optimisation, and data reporting.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills with conflict management capability.
  • Proficient in the use of health management systems (preferably Communicare) and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to remote locations via 4WD and light aircraft.
  • Current WA Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, and a valid manual driver’s licence.

 Desirable -

  • Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
  • Previous experience as a Remote Area Nurse (RAN)
  • Additional qualifications in leadership, chronic disease management, mental health, child health, or other relevant fields.
  • Previous experience working in or with remote Aboriginal communities.
