Wintringham is a renowned not-for-profit organisation providing affordable, high-quality housing, support, aged care, and NDIS services to people over 50 who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness. Our care model is built on empowerment, partnership, and advocacy for older people, respecting individuality and striving for equality and social justice. We employ more than 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania.
Your new role
As a People & Culture (P&C) Advisor, you’ll be the trusted first point of contact for employees and managers, providing timely, credible, and consistent people advice across the employee lifecycle. Reporting to and supported by an experienced P&C Partner, you’ll play a key role in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
You’ll work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure seamless people processes, maintain accurate data and system integrity, and help develop innovative solutions to improve efficiency and employee experience. You’ll also assist with complex or sensitive cases, maintaining confidentiality, compliance, and Wintringham’s values.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
• Building collaborative, trusted relationships with employees and managers as a supportive P&C contact
• Delivering seamless recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes in partnership with the P&C Partner
• Providing first-level support and advice on people policies and matters
• Administering people systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
• Contributing to P&C projects and continuous improvement initiatives
We are looking for candidates with the following:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
• Experience in a HR administrator, officer or advisor role, supporting the full employee lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and compliance frameworks
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A solutions-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
