Position Overview:

As the Head of Engineering at Polymaster, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's future. You will lead a skilled engineering team and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver high-quality solutions. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving innovation, ensuring efficient project execution, and maintaining a high standard of engineering excellence.

Ideally this role will be located at our Head Office in Swan Hill however for the right applicant a hybrid arrangement would be considered. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to the engineering team, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with the company's vision and objectives.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering department.
• Manage and optimize engineering processes, ensuring efficient project planning, resource allocation, and timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating relevant advancements into our product development roadmap.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration and successful product launches.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of engineering staff, fostering a high-performance environment.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to leverage resources and enhance engineering capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Proven experience (at least 8 years) in engineering leadership roles, preferably within the manufacturing or technology industry.
• Strong technical background in product development, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and managing teams, driving engineering excellence and fostering innovation.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, product lifecycle management, and quality assurance processes.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• A passion for staying updated with industry trends and a continuous learning mindset.
