About the Role
GPC has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Human Resources Officer to join our team for a 12-month parental leave cover placement on a 9 day fortnight.

This role, reporting to the Talent & Capability Manager as part of a small multidisciplinary team, will give you the opportunity to work across a range of critical HR activities and projects spanning recruitment and onboarding, people analytics and reporting, employee experience and engagement, HR systems, and workforce planning. You will use your administrative, recruitment and project support skills to contribute to key Talent & Capability team objectives, while engaging with colleagues across the broader HR team and a network of internal and external stakeholders, partners, and suppliers. You will also work with GPC’s broader employee community, providing general advice to leaders and employees and coordinating a range of activities for our teams.
 
 
About the Opportunity
  • Provide support and guidance to leaders and employees on general HR matters, recruitment, workforce planning, reporting and more.
  • Provide administrative support including management of employee lifecycle processes, record keeping, telephone and inbox enquiries, correspondence, document control, procurement and invoicing.
  • Assist recruitment efforts, included but not limited to job briefs, sourcing, screening, interviews, onboarding, and probation tracking, coordinate medical assessments, psychometric testing, and host site visits as required.
  • Organise key events such as Employee Service Awards, apprentice welcome programs, and other HR-related functions.
  • Administer HRIS and employee records and support delivery of regular data analytics and reporting.
  • Offer administrative and project support to broader HR initiatives.
 
About You
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic officer who has great personal drive and is a natural collaborator. To be successful you will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to prioritise workloads, and extensive knowledge of the MS Office Suite. Previous experience within a HR administration/officer/ or recruiter role, would be ideal – this is a chance to grow those skills further.
 
 
You will be required to have
  • C Class Driver’s Licence (Manual Transmission)
  • Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).       
  • Relevant Formal Qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Administration or working towards (desirable).
  • Knowledge or experience in data, systems, analysis and reporting (desirable).
