PRIMARY TEACHER (Part-time)

Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. Inspired by the work of St Marcellin Champagnat, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent academic and career pathway results for our inclusive community of students.

In line with the College’s master plan, our new state-of-the-art, three level Primary School is now complete. The expansion of our Primary Precinct has enabled the College to yield its biggest ever Year 5 cohort intake in 2024, and Year 6 in 2025, allowing for two additional full classes in each year level.

The College is seeking a committed and dedicated part-time (2 days per week) Primary Teacher to start with us in January 2025. This is a fixed-term, 12-month contract.

 

Selection Criteria:

The applicant will have:

1.    Commitment to pastoral care of students

2.    Awareness and understanding of boys’ education theories and strategies

3.    Substantial knowledge and experience of curriculum initiatives and development in education

4.    High degree of discretion, initiative and personal organisation in the execution of

       responsibilities and duties

5.    Flexibility and resourcefulness in working with a variety of staff members

6.    Ability to work collaboratively with teams to enhance the College’s identity as a Catholic School in the Marist tradition

7.    Commitment to the Mission and the ethos of Marist Schools Australia (MSA) and Marist College Ashgrove

The Recruitment Process
