As part of our exponential growth, we are seeking an experienced Client Intake officer.

Your primary responsibility as Client Intake Officer is to liaise with new and prospective clients about all our services, including Support Coordination, SIL, Community Access, Domestic Assistance, and Allied Health Services. The role collaborates closely with several other internal stakeholders to ensure that our services are effectively promoted and marketed, resulting in an active referral pipeline of potential new clients. You will serve as a point of contact for prospective clients and confidently represent the organization, you will facilitate the assessment in a timely and effective manner, with an emphasis on ensuring a very friendly, informative, and memorable experience. Works closely with the team to successfully promote and expand referrals to our accommodation service, including attending expos.

If that combination rings true to you, here’s what we’ll need to see:

  • Experience in mental health support + proven ability to navigate relationships with culturally and linguistically diverse individuals with complex needs;
  • Significant comprehension of NDIS support, systems, and respect for how it connects you to your clients, as well as the ability to efficiently and accurately provide relevant reports & proposals;
  • Significant understanding of basic sales/business development principles with a strong customer-focused individual who is confident in representing the organization to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to facilitate, present and engage stakeholders;
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and;
  • Highly developed analytical skills and a proven track record in problem solving and effective decision making

Technical assets:

  • Complete COVID-19 vaccination
  • Certificate IV in Community Services / Mental Health (minimum)or any relevant experience.
  • Willingness to obtain the following: Working with Children Check; Police Check, First Aid Certificate, NDIS Worker Check, NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate + complete, and;
  • Current, unrestricted driver’s license + own transport with a willingness to use your own vehicle if required.

Furthermore, this role involves regular liaison with affiliated services, key stakeholders, and the mental health first aid team. So a highly personable, accountable, and optimistic problem solver will succeed in this role.
