The Role:

A great opportunity has become available for a day shift Packing Leading Hand to join our team in based in Glenfield, Auckland.  Reporting to the Production Manager, the Packing Leading Hand will be responsible in ensuring the smooth and efficient packaging of all buns, bagels, muffin line and related products.

Key Responsibilities

• Food manufacturing in a fast-paced environment
• Sets up and inspects machines to ensure smooth operation.
• Operates machinery to pack product ready for delivery.
• Organizes finished product and assists with loading for dispatch. 
• Cleans and maintains GMP of the bakery for the safe manufacture and packaging of product.

Shift Hours: 

• Monday – Friday: 9 hours daily with flexibility between 8am – 8pm

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to do physical work and lift safely up to 25kg.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment will be highly regarded
• Proven machine operation experience will be an advantage
• Mathematical and numerical capability.
• Ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with own initiative and work independently.
• All successful candidates must have working rights in NZ.
