We are now thrilled to share an outstanding career opportunity for a Plant Manager to lead the operations of our new bakery in Mandurah, WA.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the General Manager - VIC & WA, this key leadership role will play a crucial part in setting up operations, building and developing the team, establishing the ARYZTA culture, and ensuring the successful start-up and ongoing success of the new site.

As the Plant Manager – Mandurah Bakery, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all production activities, team training & development, technical review, process data collection, ensuring quality & food safety standards, and delivering scheduled production KPIs. This exciting role will see you making a real impact in meeting the companywide profitability and customer satisfaction expectations.

Key responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee and optimise all activities within production, engineering, planning, and quality assurance to achieve consistent quality and operational excellence.
  • Initiate plans and processes which minimise manufacturing costs through effective utilisation of
  • manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
  • Responsible for the sanitation, maintenance and new product manufacturing through effective coordination of the services provided to Mandurah Bakery by Sanitation, Engineering and Product Development.
  • Act on behalf of the General Manager in their absence.

People, Culture and Relationships

  • Build and lead a motivated and high-performing team by driving effective recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, engagement and development initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance:

  • Implement strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency, drive cost optimisation, reduce waste, manage material usage variances, stock take variances, and applied labour controls.
  • Ensure adherence to ARYZTA’s Quality Policies and Food Safety standards and compliance with all ARYZTA Policies & procedures in place.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and communication at all levels to maintain seamless operations and uphold a positive working environment.

  • Proven leadership experience within a complex food manufacturing environment, with the ability to guide and develop teams effectively.
  • A deep understanding of Bakery Operations and food manufacturing requirements will be preferred.
  • Strong decision-making, independent thinking and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to operate under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and foster a collaborative culture within a diverse team environment.
