About the Role:
Following an internal movement, a rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Production Manager to join and lead the day-to-day manufacturing operations within our Liverpool NSW Bakery. 

In this key leadership role, you will drive team performance and champion a culture of continuous improvement, while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your primary focus will be to lead and develop your team to achieve production goals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Daily Operations Management: Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety throughout the bakery.
•    Team Leadership: Recruit, onboard, and motivate employees, ensuring every role is filled with capable and engaged individuals. Nurture talent and develop future leaders to drive our team and business forward.
•    Team Mentorship and Development: Coach and mentor Team Leaders, conduct performance evaluations, and provide sound recommendations for employee development.
•    Production Planning and Scheduling: Plan and coordinate production activities to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. Manage rostering, scheduling, and payroll activities efficiently.
•    Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement and drive initiatives to enhance production processes and drive efficiency.
•    Compliance Management: Maintain and ensure compliance with quality policies, safety and food safety standards, and company procedures.
•    Reporting: Provide accurate and timely reports on production performance, inventory, and budget.
•    Communication: Foster effective communication and relationships within the team and across the organization.

About You:
We are looking for a proactive and engaging leader who thrives in a dynamic environment where quality, safety and efficiency are paramount.

To be successful in the role you will have:
•    3+ years' experience in a complex manufacturing environment, ideally within the FMCG/food/pharma industries.
•    Previous track record in leading medium to large teams and enhancing employee engagement and driving top performance.
•    In-depth understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, with the ability to optimize production processes and boost efficiency.
•    Conflict resolution skills with ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment. 
•    Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems and ability to rapidly learn new systems.
•    Superior time management, prioritising and problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
•    Great communications skills, with ability to adjust communication style to wide audiences.
