About The Role

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for Human Resources to join the HR team based out of our McRoyle St facility.

 

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing operational support and be responsible for the provision of well-considered professional advice to the business operations in all areas of Human Resources Management across the three Primo Group facilities in Queensland.

 

With a strong understanding of HRM practices and processes, you will be the first point of contact for employees and managers to help resolve queries relating to central functions such as; policy interpretation and enforcement, IR, remuneration and reward, training opportunities, as well as performance and behaviour management.

 

Collaborative and consultative in your style, in conjunction with other team members, you will develop key relationships with managers and staff to advocate the company values and drive positive change outcomes. Your strong attention detail will see you take the lead in identifying process improvements that are aligned to best practice and policy to ensure service excellence.

 

You will work across both Day and Afternoon shifts by rotation.

 

Responsibilities:

Staff recruitment – preparing advertisements, reviewing applications, shortlisting, interviewing, selecting and reference checking candidates

 

Managing and Control the attendance system (absenteeism).

 

In conjunction with the return to work coordinator, monitor employees on work cover and suitable duties to ensure that the return to work program is efficient and effective.

 

Process labour hire agency staff engagements including authorisation, booking, induction and monitoring attendance.

 

Assist in the monitoring of HR compliance issues and undertake general HR support functions.

 

In consultation as required with the HR Manager, provide an advisory service on HR management and workplace relations to line management and staff.

 

Work closely with line management, in a consultancy role, assisting them to understand and implement policies and procedures.

 

Provide advice and interpretation on employment matters.

 

Deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures.

 

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced HR Generalist or HR Advisor who has worked in manufacturing, logistics or similar industrial environment.

 

You will also possess:

Tertiary qualification in HR and/or Industrial Relations with strong practical skills and knowledge of employment and workplace safety legislation.

Sound negotiation/planning/co-ordinating/communication(written & verbal) skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

 

Based at Wacol, public transport is limited therefore your own vehicle and drivers license is essential.
