The Liverpool NSW Bakery is our largest site in APAC, employing over 300 team members and comprising four manufacturing areas, including a fresh bun bakery, frozen bakery products, cakes and desserts.

The Opportunity:

A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Site QA Manager to join and lead the team at our Liverpool bakery.

Reporting to the ANZ QA Manager, the Site QA Manager will lead the site QA function, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements and directly contributing to the success of the plant by fostering a strong food safety and quality culture.

In this key senior role, you will provide leadership to an extended team of QA professionals, while planning and directing in-plant quality assurance programs to ensure raw materials and finished products conform to ARYZTA quality specifications, standards, legislative compliance and customer expectations. As the senior Site QA Manager, you will bring a technical and customer focused mindset, a commitment to accountability, and the ability to develop teams and build effective working relationships at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and direct in-plant quality assurance programs to ensure that raw materials and finished products conform to ARZYTA quality specifications, standards and customer expectations. Review progress with QA Manager ANZ, and Site leadership regularly.
• Provide ongoing training and development to the QA Team and all employees concerning product quality, customer satisfaction and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Ensure ARYZTA’s food safety culture is lived and breathed by driving the onsite food safety initiatives.
• Conduct product shelf-life, product evaluation and laboratory tests on an ongoing as needed basis and records and distributes all test results in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure Vendor Assurance program is respected at the bakery.
• Conduct ongoing product research to identify areas of improvement for process control.
• Ensure compliance to the process of new and existing products from concept to launch.

About You:

We are looking for a results-oriented QA leader who is passionate about delivering quality solutions, is action oriented and has the ability to develop close working relationships with key stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

• Relevant qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry or Microbiology.
• 5 years+ QA Management experience in an FMCG environment (preferably food environment).
• Proven experience in leading, supporting, mentoring, and developing high performing teams.
• Extensive knowledge of Quality Management Systems, HACCP, Internal Auditing, Australian Food Safety Legislation.
• A costumer focused mindset.
• Ability to communicate with confidence and influence.
• Great time management, organizational abilities and a high level of attention to detail.
• Proficient skills in the MS Office suite.
