About the Role
A new opportunity has become available for a QA Supervisor to join the team based in our Dandenong bakery.
Reporting to the QA Manager, this role plays a crucial part in developing, planning, and leading in-plant quality assurance programs, ensuring adherence to ARYZTA quality specifications, standards, legislative compliance, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous audits and maintain comprehensive records for quality assurance.
- Manage and develop quality specifications and standards for raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
- Oversee product evaluations, environmental testing, and laboratory tests, ensuring timely distribution of results.
- Implement statistical process control, provide training on 'on-line - real time' systems, and analyse data for process optimisation.
- Lead ongoing training and development initiatives for all employees, focusing on product quality, customer satisfaction, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Oversee the selection and distribution of finished products, ensuring compliance with new and existing product processes, and lead complaint and non-conformance investigations, including raising and resolving supplier non-conformances.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a great attention to detail and a passion for driving a culture of quality across the business.
To be successful in this role you will also poses:
- Previous experience in food industry as quality assurance.
- A degree in food science, Microbiology, or other closely related field.
- Good knowledge of HACCP, risk assessment principles and preventive controls, pre-requisite programs including allergen management, product traceability, pest management, cleaning and sanitation, foreign object control and foreign body detection and elimination systems.
- Proficiency in Quality Management Systems, computer applications, and databases.
- Ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams and communicate with influence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Superior organisation sills with a focus on planning and the ability to work independently.
