The Role
This newly created role will report directly to the Financial Controller. You will be an active member of the management team with responsibility for control of management financial analysis and reporting. You will have the ability to manage, delegate, motivate, monitor and control team activity. The role is very hands-on and acts as a business partner to several stakeholders within the organisation. This position has a strong operations focus and the ability to engage with non-financial managers will be critical to your success.
- Review and prepare end of month KPI and dashboard reporting;
- Analyse actual vs budget and forecast variances;
- Prepare, consolidate and review budgets and forecasts
- Develop and prepare monthly management reports
- Provide input to Corporate & Board Reporting
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders
- Continual review and improvement of systems and processes
- Ensure reporting deadlines are adhered
- Oversee the (Accounts Payable) day-to-day operations.
- Assist with development of plans to improve cost controls
- Provide support to CAPEX process and forecasts
- Manage day-to-day communication and motivation as well as succession planning and performance management with your team.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need
- A qualified accountant CPA/CA
- 3+ years commercial accounting experience
- Experience within a large and complex environment
- Experience managing a small team
- Ability to use initiative with a strong commercial acumen
- Flexible, proactive approach to achieving team and business goals
- Highly developed Excel skills
- Demonstrated competence in interpersonal communication.
- Excellent customer service skills to respond efficiently to internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in the application of MS Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 (ideal) or other accounting software.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the use of modern office technology including records management systems (ideally iMIS) and the Microsoft Office Suite 2010
- Enthusiasm and a positive personality.
