About the role:
As Rockpool continues its successful growth journey, we are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join the Executive Team.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the role is fundamental in delivering precise, timely, and insightful financial data, modelling, and analysis to facilitate strategic decision-making across all facets of our operations.
In this dynamic environment, your leadership will be crucial in guiding financial planning and analysis, as well as fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and enabling the Finance Team
- Providing our key stakeholders with accurate and timely financial management information, covering budgets, financial performance, economic evaluations, and overall financial analysis.
- Preparation for annual audit review and liaison with external auditors, tax accountants and financiers
- Developing long-term financial strategies and tools that align with Rockpool goals and enable managers to gain insight into their performance.
- Identifying, analysing, and mitigating financial risks.
- Continually reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of current financial systems ensuring they are fit for purpose and scale.
About you:
- Bachelor of Business in Accounting and CA or CPA with at least 5 years’ experience
- Experience in Residential Aged Care or health care sector
- Deep understanding of financial principles, the regulatory frameworks, financial analysis, risk assessment, capital structure and funding options
- Awareness of economic conditions and market trends as they affect the aged care sector
- Good spreadsheeting skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in use of an implementation of best practice ERP’s
- An understanding of corporate governance principles and ethical standards, including transparency, accountability and ethical behaviour in financial practices
- Knowledge of financial reporting, liaison with external auditors and tax accountants
- Solid understanding of technology and system capability
- Communication and negotiation skills to align the stakeholder engagement required
- Adaptability and strong decision-making skills
