About the role

Wintringham’s Ron Conn is seeking an experienced Enrolled Endorsed Nurse Assistant Supervisor to join our team. Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit community, fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents through your leadership. Reporting to the Clinical Supervisor responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct care services per the individual resident Care Plan.
  • Administer medications and Injections.
  • Undertake detailed clinical assessments of unwell residents (including medications), seek assistance as required and complete a detailed report of interventions and outcomes.
  • Liaise with medical practitioners, pharmacists and other health services to provide services
  • Provide/directly supervise complex care such as wound management, palliative care, and emergency procedures.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to care staff
  • Manage tailored Alcohol and cigarette programs
  • Follow and implement individual residents behaviour support plans

 

What are we looking for?

  • Diploma of Nursing (with current registration at AHPRA)
  • Previous experience in a supervisor/team leader role (Mandatory)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge on conflict resolution and dealing with challenging behaviours
  • An understanding of the special needs of older people
  • Ability to critically think and work effectively in challenging and demanding situations

 

What we offer

Employment type: Part Time Role

Pay: $47.22/hour – $52.83/hour (depending on your quals & experience) plus super. Above Award pay and not-for-profit salary packaging benefits of up to $18,500 each year.

Location: Ron Conn – Avondale Heights (VIC)

Roster/hours of work: 8 shifts per fortnight

Week 1: Tuesday (0700-1500), Wednesday (1400-2200), Thursday (1400-2200) and Friday (0700-1500)

Week 2: Tuesday (0700-1500), Wednesday (1400-2200), Thursday (1400-2200) and Friday (0700-1500)
