Your new role
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to lead our Food & Nutrition services across multiple residential aged care homes, based at our Ron Conn facility in Avondale Heights. This strategic role provides leadership to ensure innovative, consumer-focused delivery of services. In this dynamic position, you will oversee operations from our Central Production Unit and provide supervision to our teams of Chefs, Cooks, Food Services Assistants and Delivery Driver. 

Your responsibilities and duties will include the below:
•    Lead the team and be responsible for the preparation, cooking, storage, delivery and service of appetising nutritious meals service for residents and staff.
•    Assist in the preparation of the annual budget forecasts as necessary.
•    Ensure that all cook-chill procedures, practices and record keeping comply with the cook-chill guidelines and the food safety act.
•    Operate, supervise and assist in the review of the production cycle.
•    Assist in the management and review of the staffing structures.
•    Supervise and ensure the timely effective delivery of food to each satellite facility.
•    Planning and organising the daily activities to ensure effective production and cost control.
•    Ensure that all meals are of a good visual and nutritional standard in quantities appropriate for residents needs.
•    Ensure that the Hospitality program complies with the accreditation standards within the Residential Aged Care Act. 
•    Be responsible for the Hospitality Services program in the absence of the Hospitality Services Coordinator.
•    Directly supervise, operate and assist in the review of the food safety program

We are looking for candidates with the following:
•    Minimum 3 years’ experience in a multi-site food service leadership role. 
•    Accredited Food Supervisor certification and cookery/catering qualifications(Cert 111 in commercial cookery or equivalent) 
•    Strong financial, organisational, and communication skills. 
•    Proven ability in consumer engagement, staff supervision, and training delivery. 
•    Demonstrated experience and ability in cook-chill production for a multi-site service and in multi-site service provision and management.
