Accounts Payable Officer

 Rural Doctors Network (RDN) is seeking an  Accounts Payable Officer to assist the Finance Team on a full-time basis. Working with a digital accounting automation platform you will be responsible for taking the lead of our Accounts Payable function.  

About the role 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Processing internal payment requests through MYOB AccountRight 
  • Processing external supplier invoices through our purchase order system 
  • Managing and creating suppliers in MYOB, ensuring purchase orders and invoices are approved appropriately 
  • Completing weekly payment processing for our internal and external invoices 
  • Being the point of contact for all Accounts Payable enquiries, including investigating and resolving discrepancies 
  • Processing AR invoice requests  
  • Monitoring the accounts and helpdesk ticketing inbox 
  • Processing bank feeds and reconciling bank statements  
  • Liaising with external and internal stakeholders 

 

About you 

Ideally, you will bring to the position: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting (Desirable)  
  • Previous experience in processing Accounts Payable  
  • Experience using MYOB AccountRight (Highly desired) 
  • Ability to adapt to change and work with a digital accounting system 
  • Excellent problem solving, organisational and communication skills 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and stakeholder management 
  • Proven experience in process improvement initiatives will be highly regarded
