About the Role
This position provides general support and assistance within a Residential Aged Care Facility to ensure residents and staff are provided with a safe and clean environment.
Working at Lee NSW providing maintenance support , we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team.
Reporting to the Facility Manger, the position also works closely with the maintenance department to assist with day-to-day tasks to support normal business operations. The hours for this role will be 8:00am to 4:00pm and is on a full time basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify preventative maintenance requirements, complete the works and documentation of schedules
- Ensure preventative and corrective maintenance is actioned within legal requirements and are documented in the relevant registers
- Maintaining plant, equipment, building and services
- Ensure up-to-date records of all chemicals in use and compliance with appropriate safety best practice
- Maintain the grounds in a neat and tidy manner with no obstacles
Desired Skills, Attributes and Experience
- Trade or handyman background with general repairs and garden maintenance experience and skills
- Ability to determine when qualified trade person is required
- Ability to maintain preventative maintenance program
- Good understanding of manual handling and WHS
- Sound organisation and time management skills
- Team player and good work ethic
- Ability to work effectively and independently
- Experience in residential aged care setting is a plus
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrated good oral and written English skills
- Digital literacy skills such as using mobile devices and web applications
