About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a Billing and Admissions Support Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be helping our billing and admissions crew with the behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything running smoothly, things like making sure residents are properly onboarded, helping process fees, and keeping the paperwork in check. It’s a job for someone who’s organised, a good communicator, and not afraid of juggling a few things at once.
What You'll Be Doing
You’ll lend a hand with welcoming new residents, sorting out the admission documents, and keeping everything accurate and compliant. You'll also help with billing, making sure invoices go out on time, bank reconciliations, following up on accounts and preparing payments. You’ll often be the first point of contact for questions from residents and families, so having a helpful and calm manner is key. On top of that, you’ll be keeping files tidy, entering data into our systems and ensuring secondary tasks are attended to. Basically, you’ll be the glue that holds the billing side of things together.
You’ll also be encouraged to speak up if you see ways we can do things better, we’re always looking for ways to work smarter. And every now and then, you might be asked to jump in and help out with other bits and pieces, depending on what’s happening in the team.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ve done a bit of admin or finance work before (especially in aged care or health care would be a bonus), and you’re pretty handy with Microsoft Office. You don’t need to be a tech wizard, but you should be comfortable learning new systems. Most importantly, you’ll need to be someone who’s reliable, has great attention to detail, and enjoys working with others. Being compassionate and understanding goes a long way too.
