About the Role

The Cook is a key role that is a vital component for the well-being of residents. The cook is responsible for the overall operations for the kitchen area of the Roshana Burswood Mental Health Care.

The Cook is responsible for managing all aspects of kitchen operations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organise and implement food service in accordance with planned menus
  • Prepares and serves meals that align with the menu and complies with all necessary health standards
  • Analysis of all aspects of the operation to monitor and audit performance to ensure continuous improvements are achieved
  • Fosters the development of positive relationships with individuals, families, and staff.
  • Plan and implement daily food preparation lists for effective production
  • Effectively manages all aspects of the kitchen operations and environmental compliance requirements

Skills, Attributes and Experience

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in commercial cookery
  • Minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery
  • Personable, with a genuine empathy and enjoyment of working with people.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in the hospitality environment
