About the Role
This position provides general support and assistance within a Residential Aged Care Facility to ensure residents and staff are provided with a safe and clean environment.
Working at Moyne NSW providing maintenance support , we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team.
Reporting to the Facility Manger and Maintenance Supervisor, the position also works closely with the maintenance department to assist with day-to-day tasks to support normal business operations. The hours for this role will be 8:00am to 4:00pm and can be considered for either a full time or part time basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify preventative maintenance requirements, complete the works and documentation of schedules
- Ensure preventative and corrective maintenance is actioned within legal requirements and are documented in the relevant registers
- Maintaining plant, equipment, building and services
- Ensure up-to-date records of all chemicals in use and compliance with appropriate safety best practice
- Maintain the grounds in a neat and tidy manner with no obstacles
Desired Skills, Attributes and Experience
- Trade or handyman background with general repairs and garden maintenance experience and skills
- Ability to determine when qualified trade person is required
- Ability to maintain preventative maintenance program
- Good understanding of manual handling and WHS
- Sound organisation and time management skills
- Team player and good work ethic
- Ability to work effectively and independently
- Experience in residential aged care setting is a plus
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrated good oral and written English skills
- Digital literacy skills such as using mobile devices and web applications
