About the Role:
The NDIS Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting and assisting the NDIS Manager in the Operational and Strategic oversight of NDIS Community and SIL Clients.
The Assistant Manager is also responsible for supporting and supervising Support Workers. This is a part time position with flexible working hour arrangements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Values Based Practice
- Acts consistently in accordance with the Roshana Group Values and Key Principles – Challenges practice inconsistent with these values and uses values as a basis for managing relationships and decision making.
Partnerships and agreements
- Links Roshana NDIS Participants to the greater community and actively promotes the inclusion of any professional group to work with Roshana NDIS Services toward the provision of best practice outcomes that serve clients, Support Workers and other stakeholders.
- Builds strong partnerships with mainstream supports and other NDIS registered, and non-NDIS registered service providers.
NDIS Business Development
- Network within the Perth Community to grow the business.
- Work with the broader Roshana team to market the NDIS business.
- Create accurate service agreements with clients and support Manager to recruit to support these agreements
Participants, Stakeholders and services.
- Promote support that increases life skills and enables the achievement of goals as indicated in individual NDIS plans.
- Promote holistic services that focus on total wellbeing. Ensure services are individualised, person centred and in line with individual funding.
- Create and regularly update support plans and risk assessments.
- Ensure service agreements for community clients are accurate and get signed off by Manager.
Team Supervision
- Supervision of NDIS Support Workers, escalating major issues to NDIS Manager when necessary.
- Training, coaching and mentoring Support Staff.
- Ensure service contracts are adhered to under direction of Manager.
- Monitor the safety and well-being of clients and report any concerns to the Manager.
- Assist with NDIS audits when necessary.
- Assist with the expansion of NDIS Services.
- Participate in rotation of on call responsibilities.
Occupational Health and Safety
- Ensure the work environment is safe and healthy and complies with all OSH requirements.
- Take a shared responsibility to ensure the safety and well being of themselves and others within the workplace.
- Report any unsafe practices or equipment.
- Address breaches of OH&S policies with any individuals concerned.
Other
- Actively contribute to the continuous quality improvement of the organisation.
- Schedule and participate in staff meetings as required.
- Maintain own professional development.
- Other duties as directed.

Skills, Attributes, and Experience
Essential
- Cert IV in Disability, Mental Health, Community Service or equivalent.
- NDIS Screening Check.
- First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Ability to develop ethical work practices including an understanding of appropriate personal boundaries.
- Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of a person-centred approach.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of basic IT applications.
Desirable
- An understanding of contemporary NDIS support provisions.
- Ability to mediate in difficult situations and remain calm.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner.
- Ability to foster a cohesive team environment.
