About the Role
In this full-time role, you and the payroll team will be managing end-to-end payroll processing for our facility staff, making sure everything runs smoothly and accurately each pay cycle. You will also be reporting directly to our Payroll Lead, with all Finance Departments reportable to the Chief Financial Officer. We are actively seeking someone who is either a new graduate or someone with an accounting or bookkeeping background who is wanting to start their career in payroll.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll in line with Awards, EBAs and current legislation
- Setting up new employees and maintaining accurate records in our payroll systems (Care Systems and MYOB)
- Managing employee changes, terminations, and back pay calculations
- Responding to payroll queries via our group inbox
- Supporting EOFN, EOM and EOFY payroll reporting
- Helping HR and other departments with data and reporting needs
Qualifications and Skills
We’re after someone who’s detail-oriented, reliable, and genuinely passionate about getting things right.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Solid understanding of tax, superannuation and workers comp requirements either through study or background knowledge
- Confidence or basic understanding of interpreting Awards and EBAs
- Great Excel and MYOB skills
- Excellent communication and time-management abilities
- Willingness to learn
- Experience in a similar role - desirable
