About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Receptionist to join our team at Nedlands and Wangara Medical Centre. The functions of this position include the provision of administrative support and management of information. Daily activities include answering phones, welcoming visitors, ensuring and supporting the effective flow of information and activities within the Medical Centre. This position will be a permanent part time role working across both our Nedlands Medical Centre and Wangara Medical Centre with negotiable hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting the manager with the general administration of the medical centre
- Assisting with updating and compiling reports as required
- Warmly greet and assist patients and visitors.
- Manage a high volume of telephone calls and inquiries with professionalism.
- Schedule, confirm, and follow up on patient appointments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception and waiting areas.
- Accurately process Medicare billings, patient payments, and reconciliation.
- Perform general administrative tasks including faxing, scanning and mailing.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of office supplies.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with privacy legislation.
- Support policy adherence and notify management of procedural changes.
- Assist with daily banking and basic financial record keeping.

- Organised with a high attention to detail
- Experience with MC Office Suite
- Previous experience within a medical centre environment – highly regarded
