About the Role
At Roshana Care Group, we’re committed to creating a safe, healthy, and supportive workplace for every team member. We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented WHS & Injury Management Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining our safety standards and supporting employees through injury management and return-to-work processes. The successful candidate will be working alongside the HR team, with reporting directly to the Head of People and Culture.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support, advice and training to managers and staff with regards to all WHS matters.
- Conduct site inspections and audits.
- Develop, implement, review, and evaluate WHS strategies, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Timely notification of injuries and provision of appropriate documentation to the insurer.
- Manage the return-to-work process including the development of return-to-work plans, organising, and attending regular claims review meetings with insurer.
- Provide support and advice to managers and staff with regards to return to work and Workers Compensation matters.
- Liaise with the insurer's claims manager and our legal adviser where necessary to develop effective strategies for the management of workers' compensation claims.
- Monitor and assess premium estimates and provide information that may influence decisions on claims.
- Timely preparation and submission of Workers' Compensation wage reimbursements.
- Maintenance of the incident and injury management system.
- Maintain full, accurate and confidential files and documentation for workers' compensation cases.
- Ensure Roshana's compliance with legislative responsibilities in relation to injury management and Workers Compensation.
- Focused policies on Mental Health and Psychological Injury in the workplace.
- Own the Infection Control Portfolio for Aged Care
Desirable Skills, Attributes and Experience
- Certified Return to Work Coordinator and/or significant experience coordinating the end-to-end Return to work process, including injury and claims management.
- Qualifications and/or experience working in the health and safety field.
- Excellent understanding of current WHS, injury management and workers compensation legislation and regulations.
- Excellent case management and coordination skills combined with effective time management skills.
- Experience working with staff to identify, assess and control hazards and conducting workplace inspections and audits.
- Ability to clearly communicate information and advice to staff and management at all levels.
